• 6th Annual Still Frothy Surf Festival

“Paying it forward” was the overall sentiment from the 6th Annual Still Frothy Surf Festival presented by Billabong and Subaru. When Dane Reynolds shows up and wins the tow-at division with local standout Braden Jones, and then proceeds to give his entire winnings to a local 3 year old fighting leukemia, that sort of sets the tone for giving back. In addition, Still Frothy doled out $10,000 for the total purse, as well as over $5,000 for scholarship funds, the 2015 frothiest human, Oceano Lifeguards and the AMP non-profit challenge. Oh by the way, Dane’s team won the non-prof event as well. There was some incredible surfing-taking place at the Pismo Pier, where both days experienced magical conditions. Starting with groms and girls, all of the way up to the pros and legends, this event did not disappoint. This is becoming an amazing regional event that highlights up and coming talent from Santa Cruz down to OC. Get to know these names in the results section. This will not be the first time they show up on the winner boards.

“It’s amazing for us to be able to combine up and coming California talent with top shelf pros like Dane Reynolds, Nick Rosza, Adam Virs, Jonny Craft, Noah Wegrich and so on into one event. That’s what Still Frothy is all about. We want to give back to our local community and the surfing community at large. I am still frothing like a grom myself. I am pumped on this year’s event and excited for its future.” – Walter Cerny, Billabong Ambassador and Executive Director of Still Frothy, a 501c3 non-profit organization
