A World Class Performance from 24 of the World's Best Snowboarders Stuns an Enthusiastic Crowd of 13,000 at Innsbruck's Sold-out Bergisel Stadium.

The winner of the Billabong Air & Style Innsbruck Tirol 09 was won this weekend by Colin Frei in a packed stadium of cheering spectators. The 20-year old Swiss native prevailed with a McTwist Indy Grab of over 20 feet in a memorable final in the giant quarter pipe over Finland?s Peetu Piiroinen and Olivier Gittler from France. The prestigious Nokia Highest Air Award also went to Peetu Piiroinen with a height of over 25 feet, which came close to smashing Terje Haakonsen's long-held world record. Crowd favorite and Billabong team rider ANTTI AUTTI missed the podium by two points despite a solid performance throughout the contest.

"The 13,000 spectators and the 24 riders experienced an evening that will last in their memories for a long time,? said Andrew Hourmont, founder and organizer of the Billabong Air & Style. ?The Billabong Air & Style in Innsbruck has once again proven its unique position in terms of world class snowboarding and atmosphere.?

The top music acts Mando Diao from Sweden and Deichkind from Germany heavily contributed to this by making the whole crowd dance.

This 6-Star contest on the Swatch TTR World Snowboard Tour led to a dramatic change in the world rankings: Peetu Piiroinen took over the Tour lead from American Chas Guldemond.
