Billabong X John Frieda: Featuring Josie Prendergast 'I've Been Road Tripping Around The Coast' Look
Here’s how to get the Beachy Braid:
- Spritz John Frieda® Beach Blonde® Sea Waves® Sea Salt Spray from mid lengths to ends of dry hair.
- Allow a few minutes for the product to dry in hair to create texture, allowing for a great braid that holds.
- Part hair how you feel most flattering. Josie chose a side part.
- Pull hair around to one side and begin braiding hair.
- Secure the end of the braid with an elastic band.
- Lastly, pull the braid apart gently to create a fuller and softer braid.

After road tripping the coast with the team, we caught up with our Aussie girl, Joise, on all the need to knows, and where to go’s…
What’s the best part of a surf-related road trip?
Being able to surf perfect waves with the billabong girls. I was able to surf Greenmount, which I had never surfed before and got to watch Pach and Flick at Lennox rip when it was too big for me. The road trip to the waves was so fun! Pach rapping and flick telling funny jokes. Nothing beats that.
You’re go-to road trip snack? mmmm nothing beats jelly babies!
We know you spent 5 days roughing it on an Aussie road trip. What were your favorite places to indulge and eat? We want the full insider scoop… We were back and fourth at Topshop Byron Bay and the Suffolk Bakery. Words can’t describe how tasty the acai bowls were at top shop. I think that’s all Pach and I ate!
Who’s the funniest… ooohhh thats so hard! Pacha is so funny because she makes everything so amusing. We would be in the car finding waves and then she would belt out lyrics from rap songs which made everyone laugh so much. And we stayed up one night and made rotten avocado face masks!
If you had to pick one product piece from the trip to keep, what it would be and why? I really loved the midsummer tides romper! so simple, comfy and you can wear it everywhere!
What John Frieda product would we find in your purse? And why? The sea salt spray! 1. because it creates natural waves in my hair which give it the beachy look! and it smells good too!
Which teammate’s hair do you wish you could swap for a day? Felicity!!!! Her hair is amazing.
Best break on your trip? What board were you riding? Pass or Wategoes. Those are the local for me and nothing beats it. The waves then were nice and small. Perfect for my Mctavish longboard.
