Bloodlines Hawaii Part 2
Camp two of Bloodlines Hawaii just finished up. The camp was made up of our best 14 and 15-year-olds from around the world. Kids from France, Indo, Australia, Brazil and the US including Caleb Tancred, Dakota Walters, Kian Martin, Kaya Horne, Tommy Coleman, Lucas Vicente, Eduardo Motta and Dorian Gomez.
Day one of the camp happened to be the day of the Eddie, so the kids went straight from the airport to watch the Super Bowl of surfing where 50-60 foot waves were rolling through. The waves got smaller the next few days, but still stayed in the 30-foot range. They made the trek over to the west side of the island for surf sessions at Makaha, Tracks and a few other spots. While the whole trip was full of epic sessions, all the kids agreed that their most memorable session of the trip was at Waimea with Shane Dorian. There were a few big sets rolling through reaching up to 25-feet on the face, and all of the kids were on edge. In the end though, they conquered their fears and all rode waves having a blast in the process.
It was one of the best Bloodlines Camps we've ever had, and we're now awaiting the third and final Bloodline Hawaii camp of the season. Stay tuned!
