Bottoms up! A guide to finding the perfect bikini bottom fit.
Let’s face it, bikini shopping isn’t always about finding the perfect suit to tan, swim in or surf in. The fit is what makes us love our suits and feel confident in our own bodies.
The great part is, we’re pretty confident we have a perfect suit to fit you, and we’re going to make it even easier for you to find one (or two) by breaking them down and helping uncover the best bottom for your bum.
Let’s just say, we’re getting to the bottom of your best bikini fit; a little back to the basics if you will, both literally and figuratively….After all, this is a #aBikiniKindaLife – something we know a thing or two about!
We have a total of 6 swim bottom fits to choose from…in a range of coverages from barely there, moderate, to full coverage…and we’ll ‘cover’ it all…
Now we’ll break them down fit by fit, providing a little insight on how it compares to the next on the list…
1.Tanga: Our skimpiest and cheekiest bum coverage with a super low rise front and back for the ultimate in bronzing potential. The coverage is also our most cheeky coverage with a center back seam to create even more shape for your bum. The biggest differentiating factor is the super thin seamline creating a ‘seamless’ effect to the top and bottom edge. Compare to our #2 Isla and next on the list, which doesn’t have the center seam.
2. Isla: Still a skimpy and ultra slim bum fit but slightly less cheeky. Similar to our #1 Tanga, this is also great for catching plenty of sunshine on your bum sans the center seam and seamless bottom and top stitch line, which helps to provide a bit more fullness and bottom support.
If you like this bottom coverage, but want a bit of versatility with your hip coverage, check out the tie side isla option (as seen above) which feels super skimpy on the sides.
3. Hawaii Lo: This is a cheeky bum coverage bottom fit with a moderate/low low rise front and back. The Hawaii Lo offers a slightly higher front and back waistline than the #2 Isla, but sits straight across at the waistline. It is also less cheekier and has fuller shape for your bum. The center back shirring also creates shape, is a great step up in coverage, and is a bit sporty given the level of coverage and structure. Both #3 Hawaii Lo and #4 Hawaii offer the same bum coverage but the #4 Hawaii offers a bit more waist support.
4. Hawaii: Similar to the #3 Hawaii Lo, this is also a cheeky bum fit coverage with a higher waistline in both the front and back and a similar ruching at back to create a flattering shape. Again, this is the same bum coverage as the #3 Hawaii Lo but offers a little more waist and tummy support and increased structure, making sure it will stay put while being active.
5.Tropic: This is our low rise, medium coverage bikini bottom. If you’re someone that wants a little more coverage compared to the more cheeky #3 and #4, but like the flattering low rise front and back waistline, then this is the bottom for you. It’s about 1’’ less coverage than our #6 Lowrider (our most covered bottom option) and offers a lower rise front and back waistline. It’s stylish, flattering, and will make you feel covered.
6. The Lowrider: Our most full bottom fit, is The Lowrider. This fit also boosts the tallest front and back rise for more support along the waist and tummy line. It’s a flattering fit with enhanced bum coverage compared to the #5 Tropic and has an increased waistline.
