• Colin Frei takes out Billabong Air & Style Innsbruck

The winner of the Billabong Air & Style Innsbruck Tirol 09 is Colin Frei (CH). The 20-year old prevailed with a McTwist Indy Grab (height 6.50 m) in a memorable final in the 12.20 m high quarterpipe over Peetu Piiroinen (FIN) and Olivier Gittler (FRA). The prestigious Nokia Highest Air Award went to Peetu Piiroinen (FIN) with a height of 8.80 m, who went close to smash Terje Haakonsen's worldrecord of 9.80 m. Crowd's favourite and Billabong team rider ANTTI AUTTI (FIN) missed the podium by two points despite a pretty solid performance all along the contest.

Andrew Hourmont, founder and organizer of the Billabong Air & Style: "The 13,000 spectators and the 24 riders have experienced an evening that will be a lasting memory for a long time. The Billabong Air & Style in Innsbruck has once again proven its unique position in terms of world class snowboarding and atmosphere.“
The top music acts Mando Diao from Sweden and Deichkind from Germany heavily contributed to this by making the whole crowd dance.

This 6Star contest on the Swatch TTR World Snowboard Tour led to a dramatic change in the world rankings: Peetu Piiroinen (FIN) took over the Tour lead from Chas Guldemond (USA)
