Haunts & Halloween Fete
Indian summer days + crisp autumnal nights with a little sea breeze on our side, everything feels a little like magic these days. With the feeling of fall well on its way, we’re setting the scene for friends to put on their finest duds for a dinner party under the stars. Inspiring our festive romantic fete is our Drift Away Collection with a mix of moody floral prints as seen in or Float On Dreamer wide leg pant and the Birds On High top. Or for an easy pairing under our Sol Slip Dress or Nights Like This skirt, we’re grabbing for some graphic tees like Be Magic or Natural Wonder whose names seem to fit our theme quite perfectly.
1.Now to set the table, here’s the simplest of DIYs – it’s so good, it’s scary.
Start by spraying some leftover wine bottles with a bit of black spray paint, let dry, add a candle and let the moody magic begin. Because when those things begin to drip, your haunting Halloween fete will begin to feel darkly romantic with just enough light for those late night convos with your closet friends.
2.Give your place cards an extra special touch!
We tied our bohemian tassel ghosts from our recent how-to seen here, to black hangtags and used a metallic pen for some extra midnight sparkle.
3.Balance out the black on the table!
We opted for clear crystal tableware since it tends to be versatile and reflect light. If you don’t have clear, go ahead and grab a white – it’s all about improvising with what you’ve got.
4.Don’t forget the little details!
We’re all about gathering trinkets from our travels and letting them make their debut on our tables or mantle alike: Vintage decanters, candlestick holders, washed ashore glass bottles, and geodes make for an inviting game of ‘where did you get that from?’
We can’t wait to see your haunts and Halloween fete!
