Warm up at JBAY

Gold Coast boy Jack Freestone is in South Africa. He surfed his way to the quarters at the Mr. Price Pro in Ballito, Durban and has now moved over to the world famous Billabong Pro Jeffery's Bay. Formally at stop on the surf tour allowing entrance to few, the event has moved to 6-Star status opening up entry to the new pool of young talent that's fighting up the ranks. Among them, Jack Freestone, we caught up with Jack right before the event started to ask him a few q's:

Congrats on your quarter final finish at Ballito, now your charging over to JBAY and waves are looking good – are you psyching?

JF: Hell yer I'm feeling really confident heading into jbay and really excited!

What do you like about South Africa? Do you have an instagram photos you could send of your trip so far?
JF: I love everything about SA the people the food the women the waves reminds me so much of home! And no instagrams as of yet!

Talk about the boards you brought over, the art, the style, the dimensions, and what you hope to get out of them?
JF: I've got 3 normal short boards 6'0, 2 step ups 6'2 and a bit chunkier 6'3 witch could be used as a gun!

Who are you hanging and traveling around with over there?
JF: I'm traveling with Mitch Coleborn and Mitch crews both really good friends of mine!

DAZE AT SEA is releasing soon,  have you seen any of it yet? What do we have to look forward to?
JF: I've only seen some snippets and it looks amazing I think Victor Pakpour did an amazing job!

Will we see you at the DAZE AT SEA premiere on the 20th in Costa Mesa?
JF: Yes I'll be there for sure!!
