Pop Up Shop Recap:

On Thursday night we celebrated the second installment of the Billabong X Andy Warhol collab, the release of Volume II. The Pop Up shop was held at the MOCA's store in downtown LA. The space and creativity that is found inside the museum walls is reflected in the store making it a phenomenal place for the collection to be birthed into. It was an inspiring sight to see the pieces from this collection sit so effortlessly with other pieces that celebrate one of the world's greatest artists, Andy Warhol.
This note from Micheal Dayton Hermann from the Andy Warhol foundation below states eloquently what a beautiful collaboration this truly is...
"Warhol's rebellious spirit and attraction to non-conformists led him to Southern California in 1968 where he spent two weeks filming surfers as part of his underground film San Diego Surf. The Foundation is proud to collaborate with Billabong to celebrate individuals who refuse to be defined by convention."
The night was filled with music spun by DJ Dom, a designer from the Men's apparel team in Irvine, drinks, and good vibrations as all embraced and experienced volume II.
Below are photos from the event, showcasing some details of the space and pieces from the collection.
