Taj Sizzles at the Quiksilver Pro France
Taj Burrow proved to be in sensational form during Round 1 of the Quiksilver Pro in Hossegor France today where he opened his 2008 France campaign with one of the
highest heat totals of the day to defeat Tim Reyes and wildcard
French surfer Tim Boal and advance into Round 3.
Burrow appeared supremely comfortable in the crumbling head-high surf,
locking in an excellent 8.67 (out of ten) off his first wave followed
by an 8.00 to win the heat.
The Quiksilver Pro France is stop No. 8 of 11 on the ASP Men's World
Tour and includes the world's top 45 professionals as well as three
wildcards. The defending champion is Mick Fanning (Aus) while Kelly
Slater (USA) is the current ASP ratings leader.
