16th Annual Irons Brothers Pine Trees Classic
This event keeps getting bigger and bigger each year. This year the 16th Annual Irons Brothers Pine Trees Classic brought together over 200 kids and their families on the shores of Pine Trees beach on the North Shore of Kauai, a spot thats seen some of the best surfers in the world grace its shores. Two of those surfers are the late Andy Irons and his brother Bruce Irons. For over 16 years they've been putting on the best grom event in the world, and have given back in ways that are too priceless to say.
As always the waves were perfect. The day before was bigger with no sandbars, but then, as luck would have it, the swell dropped and the sand formed a perfect peak for the kids. Tamba donated 12 boards this year to give out to deserving groms. Everyone was a winner at the end of the day with malasadas, shaved ice, burgers, hot dogs, stickers, hats, carnival games and more for all.
The event is always a huge feel good day for all involved and this year that feeling exceeded all expectation. A huge thanks to the whole Irons family, the island of Kauai and everyone involved. We're looking forward to the 17th annual already! #AIforever
